Scholarship Fund

The MJHL Scholarship Fund is an exciting initiative. It will provide the MJHL with the ability to award scholarships to MJHL players who are selected from a pool of applicants. The scholarships will be used toward the costs of post secondary education studies chosen by the MJHL player recipient. The MJHL plans to award the first set of scholarships in the amount of $1,000 to three winners in April, 2007. On an annual basis the MJHL plans to increase the number of scholarships by increasing its pool of investment capital through a fundraising campaign aimed at League supporters and former players. 

One of the major benefits of the MJHL Scholarship Fund relates to its ability to offer immediate tax receipts to donors who make a contribution to the Fund. This is an attractive advantage that allows individuals or organizations to support the Fund and the future players of the MJHL while benefiting through a tax receipt issued by the Winnipeg Foundation.

MJHL Scholarship Fund applications will be available during the early part of the 2006 – 2007 MJHL season. All interested applicants may also access an application on line by visiting the MJHL website at www.mjhlhockey.cain the fall of 2006.
