Neepawa Natives Prospects Having Great Success

Congratulations to Natives prospect Quentin Holmes on being honored for playing his 100th game for the AAA Norman Northstars.  He is also the leading scorer on The North Stars. Quentin is an affilliate plater with this season's club, and will join The Natives, whenever possible, throughout the MJHL playoffs.
 
 
Troy Chandler
Congratulations to Troy Chandler who has been named Super 8 Defensive Player Of The Month for Manitoba Midget AAA Hockey. Troy, who is on the protected player list of The Natives, had a goals against average of 1.75 goals against and a save percentage of .951, while earning two shutouts.
 
 
Congratulations to Natives prospect Jory Mullin, who has been named Manitoba Midget AAA Offensive Player Of The Month. Mullin had 27 points in 12 games over the stretch, including 11 multiple point games. Mullin's team, The Pembina Valley Hawks, finished first in The Manitoba Midget AAA West Division this season.
 
 
Eighteen year old Neepawa Natives prospect Vince Sauvie has had one of the greatest rookie seasons in Saskatchewan PJHL history. Sauvie, who is on the Natives' protected player list, finished the season as the league's top scorer with 80 points, including 37 goals and 43 assists in 41 games. 74 of Sauvie's points were even strength. He was also named PJHL First Team All Star centre and PJHL Rookie Of The Year.  The PJHL is the same league that produced current Native Dusty Campbell, who is second on the team in scoring.
 
 

Natives prospect Tyler Larson (standing), a senior at Moorhead High School in Moorhead Minnesota, is having a stellar season with his high school team, The Moorhead Spuds. The 6 foot 3, 190 pound  Larson, who is on The Natives' protected player list, is currently ranked in the NHL's midseason players to watch list.
