Native Fans Can Expect A Creative But Highly Productive Draft Day

May 29, 2010

The Neepawa Natives will come out of MJHL Draft 2010 with an exciting stable of players for the future.

And that, according to Coach Bryant Perrier, is "a guarantee".

"We have moved some picks around and traded some away, but we have also made some future considerations deals that allow us to come out of draft day in great shape."

"When the future considerations shake out by the end of the day, people will be very excited."

Although the coach would not elaborate on the future considerations component, he did say that they will involve young players.

"We can assure our fans and supporters that MJHL Draft 2010 will be a highly succesful day for our organization."

"When the day is over and future considerations are completed, we will be in a position where our future will look very, very bright."

Perrier says the club will address specific needs and philosophies.

"Our list is strong enough that we can start to target specifics. We have a mandate going in and we will address that mandate with players who fit our philosophies. We are not planning on taking any risks.  We are planning on taking players we want in our program."

The draft begins at 9:00 AM Manitoba time, and can be followed at mjhlhockey.ca
