May 30, 2010
Tavish Quinn (7th overall in MJHL draft) who led Brandon's Tournament of Champions in goal scoring with 9, was acquired in a draft day trade with Selkirk by The Natives.
The Neepawa Natives have acquired Tavish Quinn, a skilled and tenacious forward from Flin Flon, Manitoba, from the Selkirk Steelers.
Quinn was selected in the first round of MJHL Draft 2010 by the Steelers, and was moved to The Natives as part of the future considerations owed to The Natives by Selkirk.
The Natives are thrilled to acquire Quinn, who had 9 goals in 5 games in Brandon's Tournament Of Champions this past season.
Quinn is part of the "new guard" of player that The Natives are continuing to acquire.
Described by Natives administration as a player who "hates to lose and who just doesn't quit," Quinn is thrilled to be a part of The Natives organization.
"I am excited and this means that I can continue my hockey career," Quinn said.
