Natives Acquire Area Goaltender To Complete Future Considerations

Matthew Short of Shoal Lake (18th overall in MJHL draft), was acquired by The Neepawa Natives from Selkirk on draft day. Short is a highly skilled and hard working goaltender who is targeted to become an excellent MJHLer.


 
 
The Neepawa Natives have acquired Matthew Short from Selkirk, in a deal that completes the future considerations between Neepawa and the Steelers organization.
 
Taken 18th overall by Selkirk in MJHL Draft 2010, Short is the second goalie selected in this year's draft.
 
A courageous and highly skilled goaltender who works as hard as any player in hockey, the native of Shoal Lake, Manitoba is a goaltender that the organization feels they can build around.
 
An exceptional student, who is looking to play college hockey, Short said he is "really excited" and that being drafted means that he can "keep playing longer."
 
The Natives would like to welcome Matthew Short and his family to the organization.
