May 30, 2010
The Neepawa Natives are thrilled to have drafted local Nolan Speiss in MJHL Draft 2010. One of the top defencemen in Western Canada, Speiss is a player who has a great future in the game.
Nolan Speiss, a 6 foot 1 defenceman from Neepawa, who has been described as a 'blue chip' defenceman, has been selected by The Natives with their second pick in MJHL Draft 2010.
Speiss, who was a member of the powerful Neepawa Bantam Natives program in 2010, is a highly skilled and gifted player who has the potential to have a significant career in the game.
He was recently named one of the top 40 players in Manitoba, by Hockey Manitoba.
"Nolan is a big time prospect," said Natives coach Bryant Perrier. "To have a player of his abilities in our own backyard can only be described as a gift to the organization."
Speiss is expected to play next season with The Yellowhead Chiefs of MBAAA Midget AAA League.
