The Power Of Alphabetical Order - How The Decisions Were Made

May 30, 2010

When you have to make a decision between twin brothers - who goes first and who goes second - how do you solve it?

When there are two local players who have equal star power, who goes first and who goes second?

Refer to the alphabet.

Seriously???

Yes.

Tavish Quinn was selected ahead of his brother Teagan because the 'A' in Tavish puts him ahead alphabetically.

Lisoway comes ahead of Speiss in alphabetical order.

It is as simple as that.

All four players, equally coveted by the organization, are highly valued players.

Lisoway and Speiss were both guaranteed to be taken by The Natives due to local autoprotect rules.

The Natives were hopeful that Quinn Brothers were going to be a package.

So, when the question came up in pre-draft meetings of the order of the draft, it was decided that alphabetical order would solidify the 'toss up' decisions.

An intersesting, yet very simple, FYI.
