Natives Select Kasdorf With Their Fourth Pick
May 30, 2010
The Neepawa Natives have selected St. Adolphe Bantam forward Jonathan Kasdorf with their fourth pick in MJHL Draft 2010.
Kasdorf is a skilled forward who hails from Niverville.
Natives coach Bryant Perrier is excited about the pick.
"Jonathan being available in the 9th round is evidence of the depth of this draft," he said. "We maintained all along that this draft may not have the star power of other drafts, but a player like Jonathan is an example of a very good player who was available."
Kasdorf joins rural selections Quintin Lisoway, Nolan Speiss (both Neepawa) and Drake Lindsay (Grosse Isle) in The Natives' top four selections.
As well, he is joined by draft day trade acquisitions Tavish Quinn (1st round from Flin Flon), Teagan Quinn (2nd round Flin Flon) and Matthew Short (2nd round from Shoal Lake) who came to the organization as future considerations from multiple pre-draft deals with Selkirk.
The Natives welcome Jonathan and his family to the Natives organization.
