Thanks To Tridekon Natives Get Custom Engineered Fitness Equipment
June 14, 2010

The Neepawa Natives were a phenomenal third period team last season - winning 24 of 25 games in which they had a lead going into the final frame - a whopping 96% rate of success. Their conditioning and the health of the team was second to none, as the team lost only 21 man games to injury all season long - a staggeringly low number. The Natives are taking more steps to ensure being great late in the game as well as keeping their players the healthiest in the league.
This season, Neepawa Natives off ice conditioning will reach an even greater level, as the club will be able to train in their own arena on brand new gym and weight lifting equipment.
It is all possible because of Tridekon - a Neepawa based agricultural manufacturer - whose company has committed to engineer and build the equipment for the club.
When all is said and done, The Natives will have the ability to complete full workouts in the friendly confines of The Yellowhead Centre.
"It will work out great for our guys," says Natives coach Bryant Perrier. "We are grateful to Tridekon and the organization for making the commitment to help our players become the best they can be."
"The ability to stay in the facility and train on brand new equipment is a real advantage for our players."
"To have a manufacturer with world class abilities take charge on this idea is a real gift. They are building everything we need right to specs."
The new equipment includes a squat rack, two olympic power lifting platforms, bench presses, sleds, plyometrics stations, brand new free weights and agility and footwork equipment.
"This is another great development in the ongoing evolution of our program," Perrier said. "We are always looking for creative advantages and Tridekon's generosity and design expertise is giving our players a first class training environment right in our rink."
"Conditioning and injury prevention was a strength last year. This year, we want to build upon that."
