Congratulations To Zach Tully And The Portage Terriers
July 16, 2010
The Neepawa Natives would like to congratulate Zach Tully and the Portage Terriers on the defenceman's scholarship to the University of Manitoba for the 2010-2011 season.
In his final year of junior eligibility with the Dogs, the Winnipeg native notched 9 goals and added 29 assists for 38 points - fifth in team scoring.
At 6'1" and 210 lbs., Tully is no stranger to physical play as his 99 minutes in penalties would indicate.
''Zach played hard for the Terriers and was a strong addition to our club,” Terriers' GM/Head Coach Blake Spiller said. “We wish him the best of luck.”
Tully joined the Terriers after an outstanding career with Neepawa Natives.
Neepawa coach Bryant Perrier is pleased for Tully - who was traded to Portage in the Ed Friesen and Matt Krahn trade.
"Zach is a player who was hard to trade because he is a very good player and he meant a lot to the community," Perrier said. "However, moving a player to a coach like Blake Spiller in Portage brought a level of comfort and clearly Blake did a great job with him."
"We wish Zach the best and we want to commend Blake and his staff for the work they did with him."
