Bryant Perrier returns to the Neepawa Natives Junior “A” Hockey Club for his second year. Bryant was born in Vancouver, BC and raised in Penticton, BC. Bryant has an extensive coaching and playing resume. He provides a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Natives organization. He has had a tremendous amount of success as a head coach with close to 400 wins at the junior a level.
Bryant played four seasons of Professional hockey. He was signed as a free agent in his first year of Pro and played in the Los Angeles Kings organization with the Phoenix Roadrunners of the International Hockey League. Bryant also played in the East Coast Hockey League and European Premier Division Hockey. He attended the University of Alaska on a NCAA Division I hockey scholarship and finished his 4 year career with 100 points as a defenseman. Bryant was also a former All-Star Defenseman in the BCHL, playing with the Penticton Knights and Langley Eagles.
Bryant’s strengths in coaching are in teaching, skill development, video analysis and the technical and fundamental components of the game. He also enjoys recruiting, scouting, media relations, and community service.
Bryant is dedicated, enthusiastic, and enjoys being involved in the game. His main motivators are to help improve the athletes and make a positive impact for the players and organization both on and on the ice.
Equally important is Bryant's passion for winning and success. Last season the Natives won 34 games and finished 10 games above the .500 mark despite having among the lowest totals of 20 year olds in the league, and one of the youngest teams in the MJHL.
Bryant is excited and passionate about the opportunity to be a committed, accountable, and responsible coach to a great hockey community like Neepawa. He is thrilled to be able to return for a second season with the Natives program. Aside from his time in Neepawa, Bryant and his wife Jeanne maintain a home in Penticton, BC.
