The Neepawa Natives have named their 2019 auto-protected players a week before the MJHL Bantom Draft in Winnipeg (June 9). The auto-protect allows each team of the MJHL clubs to list two players born in 2004 from their respective home zone. This year, the Natives are protecting forward Ty Joss (2004) and defenceman Liam Major (2004), both from Neepawa. Joss played 36 games last season with the AAA Bantom Yellowhead Chiefs. He stands 6’0 and 135 pounds. Major, meanwhile, is 5’10 and 162 pounds and played this past year with the bantam Neepawa Natives. The Native organization welcomes both young man to the team.
