Natives Add Alumni to Staff

The Neepawa Natives have added two members to their management staff for the upcoming season.
Craig Anderson, and Kori Pearson both former Neepawa Natives players, have been added to the staff by GM/Head Coach, Ken Pearson.
“We’re trying to expand our presence in the Westman and Yellowhead regions in Manitoba and into the United States,” Says Natives Head Coach and General Manager Ken Pearson. “We will try to build our team through the draft and having quality scouts goes a long way in doing that.”

Craig Anderson has been named the Natives Head Scout and Assistant General Manager. Anderson began his playing career with the Neepawa Natives from 1993 to 1995. He went on to play for the Brandon Bobcats (CIS) from 1995 to 2000.
Anderson resides in Brandon, MB with his wife and two children.

Kori Pearson has been named as the Director of US Scouting for the Natives.

Following a three year stint with the Neepawa Natives (93-96) where he was a MJHL All Star, he played at the collegiate level with Dakota College (Bottineau – NJCAA) and Concordia College (Moorhead NCAA Div III) (MJHL). Currently he serves as an assistant Coach of the East Ridge Raptors – Minnesota High School Hockey League.

Pearson resides with his wife and four children in Cottage Grove, MN

These three have previous experience with each other as they played together for one year with the Natives and then played under Pearson while he was an assistant coach.

Both also served in similar capacities while with Pearson and the Winkler Flyers.
