The Neepawa Natives are pleased to announce the signing of 16 year old defenseman Sam Stewart for the upcoming season. The 6’, 187 pound defenseman from Winnipeg, MB played for the Winnipeg CM Hawks this past season. Stewart scored 3 goals and 21 assists in 43 games for the league champion Hawks. “Sam is a very good player, sees the ice well and makes a good first pass out of his zone. He has a very good skill set. Sam is a quality person off the ice and is a leader”, said General Manager Myles Cathcart.
