The Building Blocks of the Future: MJHL Bantam Draft

The Neepawa Natives selected seven players at the 2015 MJHL Draft held in Neepawa at the Roxy Theatre.  The draft was a great event for the league, organization and the Town of Neepawa.  It was the first time in league history the draft was live on tv as the local NACTV station is televised on BELL and MTSTV across Canada which provided an opportunity for fans to watch the drafting process.  All teams were interviewed after their first selection and randomly throughout the remainder of the draft.   “It was an excellent event which provided the MJHL an opportunity showcase the drafting process.  A lot of work went into the weekend with a lot of volunteers.  Along with the showcasing of a great product in Manitoba the community also benefited.  The restaurants, hotels and businesses all were busy throughout the three day event”, stated General Manager Myles Cathcart.
