Neepawa, MB, Oct. 16, 2017 – Westward Ford is bringing Ford Motor Company of Canada, Limited’s innovative Drive One 4 UR Community program to Neepawa to raise up to $6,000 for the Neepawa Natives Junior Hockey Team. For every person who test-drives a Ford vehicle at the dealership on October 20, Westward Ford and Ford of Canada will donate $20 to help with the team’s general operating and travel costs.
The Neepawa Natives is one of the oldest franchises in Manitoba, and is part of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL). The franchise is completely community funded.
“The Drive One program is a great opportunity for us to give back to a hard working hockey team, while showcasing Ford of Canada’s innovative product line,” said Kevin Love, Dealer Principal at Westward Ford.
“We’re pleased with the support from Westward Ford, and we hope the community comes out and helps us hit 300 test drives before our game on Friday,” said Ken Waddell, President of the Neepawa Natives Hockey Club.
Ford of Canada and its dealerships have been supporting local communities with the Drive 4UR program since 2010, generating more than $8 million in donations for schools and charities across Canada. In addition to supporting The Neepawa Natives hockey team, Westward Ford also raised $2,060 on August 30, 2017 at a Drive One 4UR School event for Carberry Collegiate.
In addition to test-driving a Ford vehicle, you’ll also be able to meet and greet some players and staff from the team, and enjoy a barbeque provided by Westward Ford.
To participate, please visit Westward Ford, 150 Main Street West Hwy 16, between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 20, 2017. Participants must be 18 or older and have a valid driver’s license. Limit of one test-drive per household.
