The Neepawa Natives have signed Eastman Selects goaltender Noah Morin for the upcoming season.  The Lorette native was a key member of the surging Selects team who took the eventual league champion Winnipeg Wild to a decisive game 5 match up.  “Noah plays his angles, challenges the shooters and is a large body in the net.  He is an athletic goaltender with a technical side of the game.  Noah has lots of character and leadership qualities which further strengthens the room”, stated Neepawa Natives General Manager Myles Cathcart.


Early bird ticket prices for this upcoming season are just $229.00. That’s an average cost of just $7.90 per game, among the lowest in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League!

The first 100 season ticket purchasers will be eligible for chance at a cash draw for $1,000!

Natives Add Hilhorst to Line-up

The Neepawa Natives are pleased to announce the signing of 6’2 defenseman Ben Hilhorst from Killarney, MB.  Hilhorst played last season with the Pilot Mound Buffaloes of the CSSHL (Canadian Sport School Hockey League).

“Ben is a big strong d-man that takes pride in his defensive zone but has an offensive upside.  He sees the ice well, has a great first pass and plays very physical.  He is hard to play against and he plays an honest hockey game”, stated Neepawa Natives General Manager Myles Cathcart.

The Neepawa Natives continue to shape their roster for the upcoming season with the latest additions of Gabe Comeau (99D) and Jesse Gibbons (99F).  According to the General Manager Myles Cathcart both players will bring their own game to the roster.

“Comeau is skilled defenseman with a great skating ability.  He anticipates the play, moves the puck and joins an offensive chance.  He will complement the veteran d-core”.  Gibbons is an energy player good skill set, he finishes his checks and does not take a shift off.”

The Neepawa Natives organization would like to welcome Gabe and Jesse to the team for the 2017/18 season.
