Natives Acquire Schultze and Mindus

The Neepawa Natives have acquired a pair of forwards at the December 1 deadline.  The team picked Mackenzie Mindus F (1998) from the Drayton Valley Thunder in exchange for Future Considerations.  Mindus is from Edmonton, AB and is 5’11 175 pounds.  “He has energy to his game, a strong work ethic, and is a tenacious forward when pursuing the puck.  He has experience at the junior level helps round out the forwards”, stated Natives General Manager Myles Cathcart.

In a second move today, the team acquired Nicholas Schultze F (1997) from the Melfort Mustangs in exchange for Future Considerations.  Schultze hails from San Diego, CA and is 5’10, 175.  “Schultze brings depth to the forward unit.  He is a quick centerman who plays in all three zones.  He will help provide depth scoring for the team”, said Cathcart.

The team also picked up Josh Sielsky earlier this week from the Terriers.

The Neepawa Natives host the Pistons this Saturday and travel back to Portage on Sunday to take on the Terriers.
