Stewart Signs with Tri-City

The Neepawa Natives would like to announce that Sam Stewart (2000) has signed an entry level contract with the Tri-City Americans of the Western Hockey League.  Stewart has 5 assists in 25 games this season with the Natives.  “We are very proud of Sam and his play thus far.  He has developed into a very good defensemen early in the season.  He is a quality young man from a great family and will have success in life.” said Neepawa Natives General Manager Myles Cathcart.  Stewart will join Tri-City on an eastern swing before returning to the Natives line-up.

 

PRESS RELEASE – TRICITY

KENNEWICK, WA – Tri-City Americans Governor/General Manager announced today that the team has signed 16-year-old defenseman Samuel Stewart to a standard WHL player agreement. Stewart is currently playing with the Neepawa Natives of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.

Stewart Stats:

            GP: 22              G:0       A:5       P:5       PIM:14

“Samuel is a skilled D-Man with tremendous skating ability. We know that he will add to our depth and skill at the blue line and we look forward to him joining our team next season,” stated Tory.

Stewart will finish the year in the MJHL and then join the Americans after his current season is complete.
